Alloy Wheel Refurb

Hi guys,

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a decent wheel Refurb place in the Moray area (from Inverness to Lossie)?

A couple of my 18" Horse-shoes are a bit scuffed (previous owner!) and I'd like to get them looking like new!

Cheers!

Max

I am looking at sending my Q2 18" alloys to PPS in Inverurie for powder coating. They seem to have a good reputation.

Had my teledials done by PPS last year, they were in a fair state originally but look perfect now.
Also worth looking at LJF Powdercoating in Dyce for a cheaper option, they did all 4 of my calipers including painting areas that couldn't be powdercoated for £100 all in and they look great.

I used "Blasted Alloys" (01561 378148) he is a mobile service based near Stonehaven on my Jag ... he did a brilliant job. This is for total refurb ... if its touching up some dings etc then Ron at Chips Away in Aberdeen is superb 07711 189458.

The only people I know in Moray are my brother & parents and none of them are any use whatsoever with Alloys

How much did he charge to do your jag alloys?

Seen his van in and around Aberdeen a few times.

Thanks for the replies fellas, I'll be sure to check a few of those out!

I would think they'll just need re-touching on the scuffs rather than Refurb the whole wheel, but hey, I'm no expert!

Just checked with LJF. £40-£50 per wheel compared to £45 from PPS. They might still work out to be a better option as my brother-in-law lives in Cove.

Thought LJF would have been a bit cheaper than that when you consider the amount of prep work that went into the calipers compared to wheels, the guy did seem open to a bit of haggling though.

My wheels where about £45 as well from PPS for 17". They are also right next door to a tyre fitters which is pretty handy.

Anyone used anywhere more around Inverness?

I've got a set I could do with getting done. Had a set painted by a local company before and they are ok but it just ends up chipping so would like to get these powdercoated.

Hi again all,

Just looked at the Chips Away method - I think this will suffice as it it just a touch up of some kerbing needed, but wondered if anyone had used Sandy in Inverness? I'm expecting a call tomorrow for a quote, but would appreciate an first ha d experience!

Cheers.
