quick blast

The GTA hadnt seen daylight since November 23rd, so I took her out for a quick run this morning.
Before I knew it I had been away for a hour and covered a number of miles. First it was a cruise up the dual carriage way to warm her thru (water & oil) before on to the back roads between Stonehaven and Fettercairn, a few great straights I had forgotten about.

I have been smiling ever since, the way she surges forward is immense, love it.

bit of a pointless post I know but

I love wee Sunday blasts just for the sheer thrill of driving an Alfa on an empty road. Roll on the new year and some more AONS breakfast meets and runs.

Those roads are great, especially nice and early on a Saturday morning. Just got the Brera out after 3 weeks and making the most of it before the snow returns!

I know what you mean guys - my trip from Perth to Braemar via glenshee was the best drive I've had since our summer trip to Ullapool and John O'groats.

Roll on 2011 and the start of the sunday runs again - I promise we'll get to Fennel !

156 GTA, Boxster

David and I can relate to what you are saying Alex.... since coming back from Brazil last weekend and seeing the 'new' GTA sitting under a couple of feet of snow he realised it would be a while before he got behind the wheel. However, after a fantastic thaw on Friday / Saturday we went for a 'blast' in it on Saturday morning - suffice to say he is now grinning like a kid on Christmas morning - god is it FAST

Roll on the 2011 Sunday runs

Oh well, nice while it lasted. Back to Aberdeen grid lock, drifting snow and black ice on the A90! Brera's now in garage, gtv is encased in ice. Resorting to playing with Gene's 8C pedal car today!
