60000 mile service - where?

My car has just passed 59000 so I'll have to start thinking about the 60k service.

Is it important to get this done at a specialist or can any garage do it? I currently use 'Amnycada' on Pittodrie Place for any routine work but I've also been up to Kirkhill before. Kirkhill is a total pain to get to for me though as I live in the city centre and work in the Bridge of Don. However, if that is the best place to get it done then so be it.

Or, should I go further a field such as CPs in Dundee?

What age is it and when were the belts last done?

60k/5 years should be a prety standard service except for the plugs need doing (all 8 of them), but if its older than 5 years you might be out of sync on mileage and don't forget belts and things should be 36k OR 3 years.

Well it's a 2002 so 8 years old now. However, the belts were done approx 2 years / 12000 miles ago so ok for now.

Looking at the handbook last night it seems like a fairly standard service but you're right in that the plugs need replaced.

I'll pop in to my local garage and have a chat to him about it.

Cheers
