Hello Guys and Gals

I'm happy to announce that the date for the next Sunday Bacon Roll Run has been decided and will take place on Sunday 31st October.

We will meet at the Gillies Lair, Bridge of Dee at 10.30am and will proceed to the Ythan Hotel in Newburgh http://www.ythanhotel.com for bacon or sausage rolls and a cup of tea or coffee.

For those of you who are up for a wee jaunt around the countryside north of Aberdeen, Stuart (insc23) will be more than happy to take us after we have had our fill of butties and cuppas.

Can you please indicate whether you plan on joining us and also if you are going to be bringing anyone else along - wives, husbands, partners, kids etc. all welcome (numbers needed for catering).

Looking forward to seeing you all there and meeting even more members from the AONS region.

Regards
Lesley

Hi Folks

Here is an update on the route proposed by Stu

Aberdeen to Newburgh on A90
Newburgh Ythan Hotel for Bacon and Coffee
Newburgh to Cruden Bay on A975 stopping if its fine at the Bullers of Buchan
Then on the A975 back to the A90 junction and back to Aberdeen or on to Peterhead, Mintlaw and Macduff Aquarium or Fraserburgh and Pennan depending on your moods, weather etc.

This trip takes you past the Ythan Estuary and Collieston, the golden sands at Cruden Bay and the cliffs at the Bullers of Buchan, great scenery...in any weather !

Hopefully this will tempt more of you to join us on the day

on a positive note, the wife suggested we have a look at the Giulietta on Saturday when we go to Western to pick up a part I have ordered for the GTA.

Let me know what time you'll be down and I'll make sure to have a demonstrator set aside for you.
Cheers
Graham.

Well that was good fun, perfect weather, good company and a great wee run all in all.

Newburgh for coffee and bacon then up to Macduff and then lunch at the famous Pennan Inn before turning for home. That coastal routes got some great slopes and curves - who needs the Alps lol.

Hopefully we will manage to squeeze something in before Xmas!

You're not wrong there. Didn't see any others round Aberdeen this evening either, they must all be in hiding.

Well I think we might just possibly manage to squueze something in before the end of the year. Remember that Fennel in Inverurie said they'd be delighted to have us for one of their V8 breakfasts...
