Scottish Italian Car and Bike Day - Aug 15th

I have signed up to attend this - are any other members going from the Aberdeen area and if so, any plans to meet up somewhere beforehand to travel down together like we did for the SICD at St Andrews?

Looking forward to the event and hope the weather is kinder to us than at St Andrews

I will be there Leslie, Andyman and myself had a wee run down last year, and we met up with a few others at South Queensferry before going to Hopetoun.
I will be there early doors this year to help with marshalling along with Philip. I dare say a few more from up our neck o the woods will be down this year too.
It was a great day last year and with the plans already in place it will only be better this year.

Isn't it a BP garage? The one on the hill up from the Swallow Hotel Roundabout? If so, that's an ok place to congregate.

Will wait on Frank coming up with times so we can tie it all in for those who wish to meet up.

yeah probably, but we will meet up with the guys from the east and west at Tescos at the bridge and go from there. Frank is organising that and I'll liaise with him on times.

Watch this space for confirming details nearer the day.

Is anyone else planning on joining us in the drive down?

Hi, unless I've been burnt crispy by the Egyptian sun I'll be coming along too. Since my son is a bit of a Mod and fancies a Vespa or a Lambretta at some point I'll be taking him along too....and forcing him to listen to classic rock all the way down and back!

We'll be leaving from Ellon so maybe catch up with some of you on the south side of aberdeen and head off together??

I hope to make this as well if I can keep the day clear - BP garage in Dudnee will be fine for a meet.

Hi Stu

How does the Tesco at Newtonhill sound for you? Time still to be confirmed.

Anyone else planning on meeting up en route to South Queensferry let me know just so that we don't leave without you.

Cheers

Hi everyone, Fast Frank has confirmed that they are all meeting at Tesco at South Queensferry at 9am - yes you read correctly 9am that means that David and I will be leaving Newtonhill just before 7am.

Stu - let me know if you still want to meet up at Tesco Newtonhill and we will be there just before 7am.

Andy, Simon and Greg we aim to be at the BP garage at Dundee just before 8am - leaving there at 8.10 at the very latest then we will drive down together to the Forth Bridge, meet up with the others from the West and East then proceed to Hopetoun House as we need to be there before 9.30.

If any of you want to exchange mobile numbers please PM me and I will give you a note of mine. This will help if you call off at the last minute or are running late - at least we won't all be waiting for you at the meeting point.

For those of you who aren't following the thread on the AOSS lounge, entry fee will be £5 payable at the gate.

If there are any more who would like to meet up with the rest of us coming from the North, let me know and we can co-ordinate a meeting point.

Look forward to seeing you all on the 15th - fingers crossed that the sun is shining for us.

I know it's an ungodly hour to get out of bed on a Sunday, but I'm sure the day will be worth it

Andy - good to hear you will be there - and no complaints about the time

I often start at 06:00 so this is a long lie-in.
