Just bought my latest Alfa....a brand new (import) 156 which has a 2.0 Twin Spark engine. Does anyone know why it would have the Twin Spark and not the JTS engine ? I thought the 2.0 Twin Spark ceased production well before 2005 which is when this car was originally built.
Might have been built for a market with less strict emissions regulations, in which case they carried on using the 2.0 T.S. as they can still build the engines.. Thats what I think anyway
Hi , I reckon you could be right....this car was part of a consignment due to go to Malaysia which never went due to a massive hike in inport duties....hence a number finished up in the UK via a number of Alfa specialists being sold at big discounts.
Yes it is a selespeed... whats the feeling.I've only had manual previously and know that the early Selespeeds were a bit unreliable. Now given to understand that these later ones are alright.
Hi , Yes it is one of the 10k Seles...well 10.9k plus on the road costs.
A bit of a bargain though especially with the 3 year dealer warranty.
Was a bit unsure about having a Selespeed but the general feedback is that they are now alright.....time will tell. I've traded my existing 156 2.0 JTS against it which has been a great car so hopefully this one will be as good.
