Well having previously years ago had 164 lusso and 156 lusso Alfa's I felt the urge to get another one, both former cars were daily drivers, this on a classic in waiting I like to thing so I tried several and bought one GTV TS Lusso with red Momo interior complete with what appears to be usual model issues (airbag light not illuminating, bulb appears removed) along with a short MOT and noisy wheel bearing, several of the usual rear suspension issues already dealt with and has a nice shiny new exhaust and red stuff pads it seems and a distinct lack of an aerial in rear wing.
Looking forward to the challenges that no doubt lie ahead for me first up being a belated cambelt change, last done only 12k ago, sadly that was in 2008
though had water pump and variator fitted at the same time, pump willl be changed again though, no brainer isn't it.
No doubt I'll be on pestering for advice on things over the next few months / years as things progress.
I'm pretty keen on restoring and working on cars with me also owning a 68 Scimitar coupe, 74 Scimitar GTE and a 86 SAAB 900i by way of classics, think the GTV fits the bill as a modern classic.
