They've been released from hospital now, according to Crash.net

it's on Eurosport (sky 410), usually around 10:00 or 11:00

Re: WRC Irealand - Gronholm in Hospital

dammit. Was hoping he was gonna be able to put on a good show.

RTE are running their own coverage of it aswell. Its a bit boring and doesn't have a touch on the eurosport one but they're being pretty thorough and showing nearly all the entrants

Re: WRC Irealand - Gronholm in Hospital

Hopefully he can still get some quick stage times, to draw a bit of attention to himself, he was running around 8 - 10

after SS8

Damian asks " Wonder how he lost it."

I'd say he was driving too fast...probably.

Glad he's OK, thats the main thing.

Re: WRC Irealand - Gronholm in Hospital

Too fast into a right hander, lost grip and the car hit a stone wall - stopping the car instantly (the worst kind of off).

Re: WRC Irealand - Gronholm in Hospital

Saw it on the Irish news there, poor fella seemed to just have one of those horrible "im a passenger" moment in his car and slipped off into the wall. Roads where rather slippy I would imagine it's cold in Ireland Esp up the west probably didn't help matters.
