Spygate 2, McLaren vs Renault!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/moto...ne/7085098.stm

Can of worms part II.

Still, if the Renault has no McLarens "parts" on it they will have nothing to worry about

I think Ron just wants to make it really hard for Alonso to go back to Renault

They have nothing to worry about anyway. "Everyone knows" that having loads of technical info about one of your competitor's cars gives you no advantage whatsoever. In any case, I think it should be McLaren being punished because it was a rogue employee within McLaren who provided the information, so it's not fair to punish Renault for just receiving it and then using it. If you ask me, it's all part of the well-known and long-standing FIA conspiracy to favour McLaren above every other team. And if anything did go on, you can bet Flavio knew nothing about it - he wouldn't tolerate this sort of thing, because he has the highest ethics in the entire pit-lane. Besides, Max Mosley - don't you people know who his father was?

There - I don't think I've missed anything, have I?

If Renault has McLaren parts then it actually has Ferrari data?

Re: Spygate 2, McLaren vs Renault!

Well, as I said at the time, the FIA have made a rod for their own back. I think the "about-turn" Flavio did on the McLaren spygate affair was indicative that he knew that his team had the McLaren data...

Re: Spygate 2, McLaren vs Renault!

The evidence was clearly planted by Ferrari to prove that Mclaren used their Data.

Yes, definitely. On the other hand, I don't think we can just turn a blind eye to it. There's always been a certain amount of transfer with a driver or engineer moving between teams, or someone taking a few crafty photos of a competitor's car in the pitlane, but I think this is a different level.

There are enough goings on in F1 for a soap opera, but i think a sitcom along the lines of Stella St would be hilarious, Bernie the midget circus clown, Max the fascist dictator, Briatore the fat aging playboy team owner lothario, but what could it be called ?

It's a different level because it was exposed to the public for the first time. I am sure that for those involved it's pretty much the same level it has always been

And we know how Flavio changed his tune(attacking McLaren) after McLaren showed interest in team Renault

Re: Spygate 2, McLaren vs Renault!

...but wouldn't it be funny if it transpired that Ferrari had nicked Renault's data; hence McLaren nick Ferrari, Ferrari nick Renault, Renault nick McLaren.

No-one would have designed the car

I think no one did indeed design the car. F1 this year was all played on PlayStations and put on TV as if it were real

Where's Crispy when you want him? Maybe the glass house has fallen in on him?
(100% joking Crispy, as I'm sure you know. It's laughable how this whole affair has been mismanaged and exacerbated by the continued incompetence of the governing body - 'Govern'?? Who are they kidding? They couldn't govern a Mamod steam engine)
