Looks more like a Rally car to me, but indeed good news having Alfa back in motorsport.

Seat Ateca SE

I am sure I saw a rumour that Alfa might have got back into F1 as a badge engineered engine (Ferrari) for Red Bull?

The F1 engine rumour is not true. Red Bull are going to be using last years Renault engines remanufactured by the chaps that ran Ilmor.

The Alfa TCR race car is also not a factory effort, so unfortunately it means the budget is nowhere near the factory based teams.
Still, I wish them all of luck, and hopefully if the effort is successful Alfa will take note and do SOMETHING in motorsport at last.
(apart from putting Alfa logos on a Ferrari, that is)
