F1 2015 Discussion Thread

So now 2014 season is over, what do we hope will happen in 2015...

I hope that the season is better than this one. I personally have found it very dull with the odd close race. You need some competition between teams at the front

That the McLaren and Honda partnership is a roaring success.

I agree this was a dull season. I kinda lost interest and only barely watched the last few races. Not one crap did I give about the Hamilton/Rosberg title chase. I want to watch motor racing, not a "best car" competition.

As usual, next year I'll be supporting the red cars. I wish Alonso was going to be still in one of them. I'm very unsure of Vettel and his overall ability.

Ferrari are in free fall. What do we expect with that bell end Sergio Macaroni in charge

That must be the least suprising news in recent automotive history. Inevitable when you can seem to afford loss making business. One can only remain curious if they will use thier own engines.

I read an article about VW going into F1 soon and it's all about the numbers. F1 pays for itself with the column inches and free advertising, whereas the areas that VW are in at the moment, WEC, Rallying, DTM etc all cost money when all the numbers are added up, so for an outlay of 250 million a year you get that, and a lot more back , in brand awareness.
Merc looked at the numbers for this year and were blown away by the returns!

Alonso & button about to be confirmed(rumour has it). Alonso seemingly "conformed" with a haircut & shave just for the corporate event. Both McLaren & Ferrari have been embarrassing this season......and continue to do the internal, corporate "emotionless analysis & solution search" bullcrap.
