Well Happy World Superbike is here again - woohoo!

The first round of the 2007 WSB championship is this weekend.

Anyone want to try and predict who'll come out on top this year?

I reckon:
Champion: Bayliss.
2nd: Toseland.
3rd: Haga.

Same as last year. I really do think that James Toseland will be a much bigger threat to Bayliss than last year, but Bayliss and the Ducati are perhaps just a smidge too fast for JT to beat enough to give him the title. I'd love to be proved wrong though, JT is a great rider and always up for a scrap so maybe he will win it..... I'd love to see that.

Other predictions...... Biaggi will be sacked part way through the year. Lanzi will be rubbish, again.

Don't forget the race is on Saturday!

Eurosport, 8.15am on Saturday if I remember correctly. Not sure if any of the terrestrial channels are showing it this year, it's a bloody outrage if they dont.

IT will take 2 or 3 races to see who is really competitive as usual. Sure Bayliss is a very good chance but who would count chickens........

Eurosport no good for you then?

Looks like you're out of luck, it's not being shown on any terrestrial channel.

Not a fan than, Nomad? I must admit I don't really care for the guy, but I'd love to see him do well in a few rounds 'coz he is undoubtedly a brilliant rider, it's just a shame he's a bit "odd" . Same thing when little John Kocinski re-appeared a few years ago, outstanding rider but pretty vacant in interviews, and allegedly as mad as a bucket of frogs.

Superpole this afternoon..... can Toes get a better one in than Nori? I reckon so

Re: World Superbike is here again - woohoo!

I thought the first race was good, even though it was pretty spread out I was on the edge of my seat all the way through the second half

Plenty of exposure for Alfa, didn't see any of the cars but there were loads of close-ups of the pit girls carrying Alfa boards, and the track seems surrounded by Alfa 159 adverts. I'm off to Mangoletsi after the second race, so I expect to see the place heaving with superbike fans buying sweet shiny new bellas
