United SportsCar Championship 2014.

This is the new name for the merger of ALMS and Grand-Am in the US of A.

Round 1.
24hrs of Daytona.
Race start 7pm GMT Saturday 25th January.

This is also Round 1 of the North American Endurance Cup.

Motors TV will broadcast live from 7pm Saturday 'til 2am Sunday and then again from 12 noon to race finish on Sunday.

In the interim there will, apparently, be live streaming here. Live Timing & Scoring also here.

Was really looking forward to this race, great venue and good entry of high class teams and drivers and on the whole it was ok, but marred by:

The shocking accident with the DP vs the Ferrari (Glad both drivers are ok but poor Memo will be looking at a long recovery).

The BOP system gave the DP's too much advantage on the straights.

The unnecessary yellow flag at the end which didn't need to be thrown and was only done to bring the field together for the end

The stupid penalty for the 555 GTD Ferrari (race director/officials should be sacked, but at least they saw sense in the end)

Other than that it was an OK debut for the series, but thank God I have motors TV and didn't have to put up with just the FOX coverage, adverts every 10 minutes would have made it unwatchable for me.

I'm looking forward to Sebring with its proper road course layout that should help bring the prototype classes together.

United Sportscar Championship 2014.

Round 2.
12hrs of Sebring.
Race start 10:15hrs EST Saturday 15th March. I think this is 2:15pm GMT.
Also Round 2 of the North American Endurance Cup.

Motors TV will broadcast live from 1:30pm to 6pm Saturday and then from 8:35pm to 2:35am Sunday. These times are taken from their web-site, so I bear no responsibility for their accuracy.

The IMSA web-site will be streaming the race live from 3 hours in. Also live timing and scoring will be available throughout. See here.

Oh dear, IMSA screwed up again...

Wrong car pinged for a colision, stewards and organisers wont back down even though there is video evidence.

Not to mention almost have the race taken up with yellow flag/Full course cautions.

Granted some incidents needed them but others didn't.

This series needs to take a good hard look at itself otherwise it will fail.

Long Beach Street Circuit.
Race duration 100 minutes.

Third time lucky and things seem to go quite well, good racing and no silly descisions by the stewards.

Shame some of the top teams have already walked...along with quite a few fans.

United Sportscar Championship 2014.

Well, I would've watched Round 4 on Sunday 4th May at Laguna Seca, but I was still in Belgium after round 2 of the 2014 FIA WEC at Spa-Francorchamps.
So, for those of you who wish to, here is the USCC "double-header" replay; the P/GTLM and PC/GTD classes were held in two separate races.
