Grrrr. Too bad about Kevin Abbring already retiring after four stages with a broken cooling. The new T16 Peugeot does have the pace, even though it's fragile. I didn't know he had Englishman Seb Marshall as co-pilot now.

Lappi takes a convincing win, with Skoda taking the top 2 places. Both Peugeots retire with mechanicals unfortunately, Abbring on day 1 from 2nd position & Breen on the 1st stage of day 2 also from 2nd position. Barrable takes 3rd position on his home rally :IRISH:

Peugeot has a big stinking problem with cooling their engines. The Fiesta's (like Barrable) use a 2 litre plant tuned back to 1.6l, but the PSA machine is 1.6 to begin with, meaning the cooling for the Fiesta (originally designed for an s2000 spec car like the skoda) is much more efficient. I also wonder if WRC teams are missing a talent with Lappi, who makes former VW protege Wiegand look like gentleman driver (same thing happened when Wiegand was paired up against Mikkelsen btw)
