Silverstone F1 recommendations

Ow bin ya?

I'm going to Silverstone this year to watch the F1 but before I book I was wandering if anyone has any recommendations of what is a good position / grandstand. I can get pit straight tickets which I'm leaning for currently as we'll get to see the start, finish, pit stops & podium presentations.

Any tips or any pitfalls to be aware of as I've never been before, to Silverstone or F1.

Cheers,
K

My favourite places to marshal at are Village or Luffield (both have grandstand areas).......both have fast approaches, the first is followed by the slower but technical Loop then fast accelerating to Aintree, the second hard braking into Brooklands followed by the long accelerating Luffield/Woodcote section.

The pits are lower than the track so visibility for pitstops is limited for lower seats in the grandstands and the podium is at the pit lane entrance. There was a rumour last year that the podium was going to be moved to the middle of the pits but not sure if it has been done. Won't know till my first meeting in a couple of weeks.

Hope that helps and doesn't confuse you........
