Bring back the mid 90s with Alfa, Ford, Audi, Renault etc etc/
WTCC in my mind is a whole lot better and was great at Silverstone. Thinking of having a road trip down to Spa for the next ound.
Agree and disagree. It would be a nightmare if the racing wasn't actually close, but fortunately it is, as Jason Potato demonstrated
However, having attented a meeting this year, I would say that it's far better to watch on telly than at the track, otherwise you're just sat waiting for a good minute until the bunch of cars run by where you're sat. If the racing wasn't so close this year, I think BTCC would have been dead already.
I was at the WTCC at Silverstone too, and there wasn't as much overtaking from what I can remember. More cars doesn't necessarily mean better racing. However, the future for BTCC does look grim, as I believe SEAT may be concentrating on WTCC in the future and a couple of other manufacturers want a go at WTCC too. Hopefully this won't turn out to be the case, as the other races that take place at BTCC meets are on the whole really good to watch too, it has to be said.
