Only 95 days to the start of the best championship, if it's any better than 2011 I can see me having heart problems......
Already commited to marshal at 10 rounds......still working on the Assen round, at the moment it will be fly/rail but would really love to drive there. Would be a hectic as need to be back at Silverstone the next Wed/Thursday.

Been to Assen several times and it's a breeze to drive or ride to using the Hull to Rotterdam
ferry. Once did a Sat night crossing then back on the Sun night one which ain't recommended

Best of both worlds is to get either the Thurs or Fri night crossing and the Mon night one back,
gives you plenty of time to take a different route back and see the sights

Go for it you'll love it

Checking on ferries today......as I will be camping the fly/rail could be a nightmare if I take what I usually do....GTV "boot" and back seats full.....

well i've managed to do it.

after consulting all 3 seasons - bsb, wsb & motogp - i've booked a summer holiday that doesn't clash with any dates

also got 2 passport application forms through the post the other day for me and my lad rob, should be able to get to at least one euro round this year, hopefully 2

bsb at assen should be worth aiming for. what's the ferry costs like stu? how much driving on the other side?
where to sail from, hull is simple for me...

Best price I have for car +1 is £146 from Harwich to Hook of Holland (one cheaper but ferry at 0600)....leave Thursday and return following Monday........still looking at other routes/mileage.......
Hook of Holland-Assen 155 miles.....

£84 for the eurotunnel but 304miles from calais to assen. what you save on ferry/tunnel costs you spend on fuel...

That was the first one I priced up and dismissed for the same reason.......
Plus, not sure I would want to drive nearly 500 miles after marshaling for 3 days.....

lightweight

can't fault your logic there mate

still weighing up the options for assen, would love to go. just the school thing with rob. haven't ruled it out yet but..

been looking at other options, monza wsb is a posibilty due to the foloowing monday being a bank holiday so not so much of a rush to get back.

but i'm really leaning towards motogp at estoril.
priced up for rob & me to fly out from luton, hire car at lisbon, hotel for sat night in lisbon and return flight back late sunday night. can do it for around £400 for us both inc flights, hotel, hire car & race tickets.
ok it will only be the raceday sunday but would be a great trip...

another factor is I have been roped in at Silverstone starting the following Wednesday to prepare for that round....so will be there for 5 days. Any other weekend and it would have been ok.....1 days rest between two five day weekends is not enough these days.......

Silverstone is only 29 miles from home Kev, and if I do the Harwich route I would pass within 1 mile of home on the way to Silverstone so it will definately be a couple of nights in my comfy bed......

The first Panigale rolls of the production line today and will be in the showrooms in March.....
First 1199 Panigale off the assembly line - Motorcycle news: New bikes - Visordown

IMO it has to be the most beautiful bike eclipsing my previous favourite, the MV Augusta F4.....

Professional suicide by Nori though, all the top rides have gone, although he would have fun sliding without traction control.....
Must be the best rider to have not won a world championship.......

I have always liked nitro Nori's style.. and would be good to see him racing but shame it is back over here..

I am getting already for a good year.. as intend to get to a few more races this year too

I hate the break in the season.. And watching back the races just isnt the same.
