Checa on pole ( fastest Superbike lap ever in Philip Island ) from Biaggi, Guintoli & Haslam with Laverty in 5th after superpole.

Rea crashes.

Nice to see Alfa Romeo putting in some advertising at the start of Eurosport's program as well with the Tornado Blue Mito

Slightly on topic, Guy Martin hosts a new program "The Boat That Guy Built" on BBC1 at 7.30pm on Wednesday

Great to see SO many adverts for the MiTo on WSB all the time nowdays, probably does the Alfa Romeo brand no harm at all, to be the official Safety Car either......

Hehe, looks like the FIM has some rulechanging backfiring on them as well. The last few rulechanges regarding standardizing fuel and standardizing the bikes even more was supposed to hamper the Aprillias, as they are non-standard in absolutely everything. Well, they're still quick enough for two podiums for Biaggi. Also a very good second race for Camier and especially Rea, whom I suspect has been changed into the 6 Million Dollar Man after all those crashes he had past week

I wonder what Ducati must be thinking. Struggling a bit with an unhappy Rossi in MotoGP and still the old SBK-bikes which have not been developed for more than a year qualified one and two on the grid and Checa even got a double out of it.

Oh and did I mention already that I absolutely love the commentary from Burnicle and Whitham

There appears to be nothing wrong with the car, except that it's on fire!
