No Group C at the Classic???

It seems there are no Group C races at this year's Silverstone Classic
In my last two visits they have been my main reason for attending. There is still loads to see, and as the historic sportscars(pre '74) weren't at the BGP this year, the trip will be worthwhile just to see these beautiful cars in action, but I'll miss the Porsche 956/962....Jag XJR8/9.....12 and the beautiful Sauber Mercedes C9.

I doubt it very much. I'm going to try and get there, but funds depending, really

I can't understand why there isn't much interest in this series.....both in it's heyday, and today.

True. It's among my favorite series in History, I'd rather watch sportscars/endurance from just about any era (though especially the 80's) than anything else, to be honest.

Ditto........there is something about sports prototypes that other series, including F1 just can't match. Of all of the beautiful cars at Goodwood, the finest was a Jaguar XJR14......I've not seen one since Donnington 1991 when they battled the awesome Peugeot 905's.

The line up for the group C's is not spectacular either. Lots of Spice's, A few Nissans and a sole Jag XJR5. And since they've been stuck on the ar5e end of the show late on Sunday I'll likely give it a miss.

But on the plus side Mrs HST has agreed that we're off to the 24 hours next year!

That's a shame.....I wonder what the reason for the poor turnout is.....cost maybe?
Lucky you going to Lemans......the group c heritage race is always great to watch!
It was a shame group c weren't at silverstone today, but the early 70's to '85 F1 race was great.....those Tyrrells looked awesome, and these cars actually get within inches of one another, unlike their modern equivalents.
