Register for Le Mans 2004!

If you are going, post details about your trip here.

My plan is to attend for 2 days, and stay in one of the Blue/Green/Red campsites as close to the main area as possible. We were there for the last 2 years, and stayed in the very back of the blue camp-site last year. It took about 25 mins to walk to the main area, which was a bit much, especially when we kept getting lost from the group! We also had beer cooling issues, it was about 35oC for most of the day...

I hope to drive over in my 145, whether that is the one I have at the moment or a newer one, I don't know!

I'm going on the 10th staying at a campsite just north of the circuit, all food and camping included in one price also race tickets and bus transfers to and from circuit,
Its my first time and I want it to be special, afterwards I'm taking the 155 south to the cote d' azure.

You Posh git!
I'm roughing it in some slum about 1 mile away.

The drive down to the South is nice, are you going to go by Lyon or on the West coast route? The west is the better route as there are lots of places to stop off... and I don't think the traffic is as heavy. We drove from Cherbourg to Frejus in 16hrs one day... My father just wanted to get the driving out of the way... But that was 10 years ago now!

I was thinking of going via Saumur then to the Dordougne down to Arles then probably St Tropez. Then come back via Lyon.
I hope the 155 makes it.

Have fun all who are going! Keep an eye out for the 60ft flagpole made from a tree (you can see it from thr Esses), that's the group i normally go with. Don't think i can make it this year tho as it clashes with other interests in Guernsey

McGuinn, we get round the beer thing by sinking a dustbin into the ground and filling it with water.

You bring a bin and a spade? Now that's prepared!
I think I know the campsite, it's just outside the circuit?
We just take the available 'colours' camping sites, not the pre-book ones.

Anyone else going?

No, just a shovel, plenty of bins lying around when you get there.
Power tools can be hired, you can get logs for the bonny ready cut and fertiliser is readily available in the supermarkets. Along with a whole host of bangers/small fireworks.

The campsite is one of the coloured ones within the circuit just the other side of the Dunlop bridge, best place to be!

Yeah. Look out for our tribe in the Houx Annexe camp site from Wednesday 9th. We'll probably be in a couple of Spiders, an SZ & a GTV6. All welcome to drop in for a beer.
