Frank was / is O.K......Dennis is just a miserable Git, he seems to sum up the McClaren team all round in fact. I couldn't believe the transformation of David Coulthard, after he left them, he was a very happy guy with Red Bull indeed......

So happy he crashed the RB rather a lot. I think DC was treated very generously by Mclaren. They kept him on far longer than many teams would have done, and I think it dawned on him he would never be as fast as Hakinen or Raikonnen, henc the pressure on himself to justify the seat.

We are partial with our heroes, Enzo Ferrari was not a barrel of laughs you know, I think Ron Dennis has been a beacon of excellence in a Great Britain that generally struggles to build things well. He was/is a mechanic when all is said and done, not a marketing or PR man.

I'm not sure I could ever work in a Mclaren environment, but i admire those who can and what they achieve.

Re: Ron Dennis steps down

Dennis has done a lot for British engineering and the car industry, for Formula 1 and of course for himself.

Hope he enjoys his life outside F1.

Re: Ron Dennis steps down

I wouldn't be suprised to see Ron Dennis lurking around at the circuits this Year, he's such a Control Freak, he will go Bonkers not having anyone to order about........
