Great rider, shame it didn't work out for him in Moto GP.

Re: Bayliss Vs Rossi Vs Schumacher

Indeed... I thought he was gonna go there and kick some ass - as he did in his last MotoGP ride - and was very surprised (as were Ducati IIRC) that he didn't

Re: Bayliss Vs Rossi Vs Schumacher

Valentino Rossi is by far one of the most popular and successful motorsport personalities, he is charismatic, a real dedicated competitor who has won the championships in 125, 250, 500 and GP....... and only surpassed by the great Agostini......... Troy Bayliss is a good rider without doubt but MotoGP is a whole different ball game........... ask James Toseland (who was a far better Superbike rider than bayliss, will vouch for that) ........

.......... and Shumacher ???? .......... He's German so probably doesn't count.

Rossi gets my vote............... I'n fact, I'd even let him sleep with my wife !!!!

Cheers to All
Peter

Re: Bayliss Vs Rossi Vs Schumacher

As I said.......... It's a different ball game in GP.

And Rossi, Bayliss, Schumacher ?????

There''s no bl**dy contest........ You only have to watch the Italian to see that.

Cheers to All

I'd like to see Bayliss and Rossi head to head on identical machinery... now that would be interesting

James will be there... next year he's gonna kick some ass IMO

I predict he'll easily be inside the top 8 next year and maybe (hopefully) inside the top 5

Re: Bayliss Vs Rossi Vs Schumacher

You really cannot compare these riders and driver......
however whilst I will miss watching Bayliss 'man handle' a bike that does not want to do the right thing for him, I do not miss Schumacher and I will not miss Rossi when he has gone.....

Re: Bayliss Vs Rossi Vs Schumacher

What He Asked

Rossi has done an enormous amount for modern era motorcycle racing - and just lately the Italian IRS - and the motorcycle industry !!

When he retires he'll be sorely missed and MotoGP's popularity will wain as a result !!
