Alfa back in BTCC 2018

So it's not just f1, though it's not an official touring car team.

Looking forward to seeing that race, in the hands of hard trier and all round good guy Rob Austin. I don't think it's a top team, however, and as you've said, it's not factory supported (other than through an expression of good wishes). Anyway, it will be easily the best looking car on the track.

Hopefully it all just helps to raise Alfas image along with f1, it's also just right that Alfa Romeo cars race.

A great drive by Rob Austin in the second race. Finished 6th from near the back of the grid. Car and driver look fast.

It was a great result, and he held onto the lead and then second for a long time. Rob Austin said over the PA they hadn't sorted the handling yet; the car's only been on track for three days and that third race was the first time they'd tried it on the soft tyres.

It would be typical for it to win the championship as a non factory supported car! With that body kit and a tweaked 1750 engine Alfa could have had a really great GIULIETTA GTA!
