Re: F1 on the BBC

Same here.. i like ITV's coverage but they must employ Martin Brundle, but please dont get Murray Walker out of retirement! I do like the fact that we can now watch Friday's practice on line, although last Fridays coverage was a bit scratchy, im sure it can only get better

Now i dont mind paying my license

Re: F1 on the BBC

Nothing worse than missing the action for an advert break !!!

Is it just me, or am I the only one that always falls to sleep a couple of laps from the finish ???

Re: F1 on the BBC

The two MB's have to make the transfer IMO

I think ITV do a good job of showing the races - adverts apart - and giving the background/behind the scenes stuff that they do !!

Lets hope the BBC keep that going ... but not to the detriment of their MotoGP coverage !!

Watch it sometimes, on one of the unscrambled satellite foreign channels. The commentary means nowt' to me, and the adverts are absent.

Re: F1 on the BBC

The best news I've had in a while (it's a sad life!)

The ads are so disruptive to the flow of the race, and EVERY time I watch it I wish the BBC still had it.

Well done BBC

Re: F1 on the BBC

Best news yet! Iím still angry about the time ITV went to adverts on the penultimate lap last season..or was it the season before?

As long as they donít take Martin Allen as well. He gets on my nerves trying to be a young Murray!

Re: F1 on the BBC

This is great news, but with a few reservations:
BBC please get Martin Brundle.
BBC please DON'T get James Allen, Louise Goodman, Mark Blundell, Ted Kravitz and Steve Ryder....and definitely NOT Murray Walker.

Please keep and extend the grid walkabout, but cut-out all the other pointless interviews, 'feature 'insights' and interminable infills of pure waffle and concentrate on the action.

They don't even need 'the Chain' - just maybe a recording of a Ferrari engine on a quick practise lap.

And if they ceased their coverage of horse racing, golf, darts, snooker and athletics that may even result in a drop in the cost of a TV license.

Re: F1 on the BBC

The BBC coverage was pretty crappy when it was on last time. No pre or post race discussion, no pre-season programmes, just coverage of the race itself, before quickly cutting back to horse racing or snooker.
The ITV coverage, even with adverts is far superior. I really hope the BBC have upped their game and will give the coverage the sport deserves.

BBC3, BBC4 and BBCi have happened since then, so there should be plenty of room for everything and everyone. Hopefully.

They've done a pretty good job with motogp. The presenting and commentating are good and they show qualifying and the support races on digi TV.
