Haslam wins Race 1 from Mossey & Iddon.

Haslam does the double by winning Race 2 from Brookes & Irwin.

Byrne didn't rave today after suffering a concussion in the morning session.

Haslam leads the championship on 50 points, 19 ahead of Mossey.

Mossey wins Race 1 (his first race win in BSB) from Haslam & Iddon.

Mossey does the double winning Race 2 followed by Iddon & Haslam.

Nightmare for Ellison who crashed while leading & didn't start Race 2 after damage in Race 1 wasn't properly repaired, Byrne crashes out of Race 2 & is 73 points of the championship lead in 15th, not a good start to the season

Haslam leads the championship on 86 points, 5 ahead of Mossey.

Have just watched (on the box) the two Superbike and the second Supersports races from Oulton. In terms of spectacular and exciting racing, I would nominate that series as the tops bar none. I was born a car racing enthusiast but British Superbikes and the support races are the ultimate in pure racing.

Shame about the Ellison / Haslam collision, which wasn't pretty, but the race was still terrific.

Haslam wins Race 1 from Byrne & Mossey.

Byrne wins Race 2 from Irwin & O'Halloran.

Ellison really isn't having much luck is he, neither is Laverty for that matter. Ellison & Haslam very luck to walk away from that accident, it could have been so much worse, Haslam's bike or was destroyed, luck there were no marshals or spectators anywhere near it

Haslam now on 111 points, 3 ahead of Mossey.

It's an interesting championship this year - a lack of consistency and/or bad luck means that there doesn't seem to be an obvious champion yet, although I think it may be Haslam's year.

The place where Haslam's bike went off isn't really a good spectator area, although it is accessible - the spectator fence is about five metres behind the Armco.

Good to see Alastair Seeley out again on a Superbike. . . I knew him when he was a 17-year-old up-&- coming club racer!

Dixon wins Race 1 from Mossey & Byrne.

Dixon makes it a double in Race 2 from Ellison & Byrne, first win for Dixon in BSB & it's a double

Bad weekend for Haslam & Irwin, neither who raced due to injuries earlier in the weekend.

Mossey now leads the championship on 141 points, 30 points ahead of Haslam.

Irwin wins Race 1 from Brookes & Hopkins in very difficult conditions with a track half wet & half dry, lots of crashers.

Brookes wins Race 2 from Ellison (started from last) & Byrne in a race with the safety car followed by a red flagged.

Linfoot wins a very wet Race 3 (his first) from Laverty & Dixon, race red flagged as soon as two thirds distance was reached, only 7 finishers & Dixon the only one of the showdown finalists to finish

That's the final 6 decided for the showdown
