alfaowner.com meeting discussions

i personally would like to go to some AO meets next year

how about some ideas for meets next year, maybe regional ones or even our own big one?

all ideas welcomed, except from ant, bigfoot and tor and anyone else where i'd have to put my car on a cargo plane to get there

one in ipswich would suit me perfect

Re: alfaowner.com meets discussion.

thats exactly what we need mate

it doesn't have to be like the aroc ones , they obviously need a lot of funding etc, but even a nice big pub with a large carpark etc, things like that.

unless there are loads of people intrested then we need someone with a field

anyone got a field?

yeah thats it, any members on here own a field, burger van, portaloo business and an outside bar ?

Re: alfaowner.com meets discussion.

Great idea.

Personally, I was going to suggest a meet down our neck of the woods sometime mid-07, but someone's only going and beaten me to it by organising a little get together at Weston park!

Great idea.

I'm in kent so a south east meet would be good.
It would be great to see like minded people that share a passion.

I think a large pub with a garden (weather permitting) would be ok

Re: alfaowner.com meets discussion.

we can have more than 1 meet you know

if anyone wants to try to organise a meet closer to their home feel free but remember everyone has to travel so a middle point makes sence

Does that mean you are starting to regret giving him that position of responsibility?

Re: alfaowner.com meeting discussions

I've tried to organise meets a couple of times. One, Jedburgh, was a great success while others have never really gotten off the ground.

I'd be up for a regular North East meet or a slightly less regular one a bit further way.

Re: alfaowner.com meeting discussions

Sounds like a good idea Phil. I was thinking of camping near NAD and suggesting a get together the night before NAD, but looks like we'll be heading off to Norway the following week, so staying over might not be practical.

But if anyone's up for a meet in the middle of the country somewhere at a different time of the year, I'm happy to sort out a campsite. Done this before with friends - you get an area set aside for your group, everyone brings drinks and Bar-B-Q stuff, throws everything in together and we all have a good laugh. Usually better done earlier or later in the summer just to avoid school holidays and the like.

Don't know if this was the sort of thing you were thinking of?

Hi Happy,

I see you are currently Down the back of the sofa, would you be willing to travel to the left arm rest? Or is that too far?
