Re: meets in scotland

Good stuff, I know from past meets that the GTV guys like to have a scenic drive.....but if we can all arrange to meet somewhere first around lunchtime that would be good!

Re: meets in scotland

knockhill are having their hot hatch spectacular that day, why not combine the meet with a display ?

my 75 won't be ready, i can't get time to get started on it, but it would be nice to see some alfas there.

Interest beginning to build for this meet on **********.

I think we're talking Saturday the 12th or maybe Sunday the 13th depending on majority preference.

Re: meets in scotland

Track time is 6-8pm, but be a bit earlier- 5.40 at the latest for the sign on and briefing. The usual restrictions are that the car should be road legal (MOT'd). The cost is £60- but this is due to increasing costs for an event which has good track access and usually an open pit lane.

Also the Alfa evening has a good saftey record and few stoppages when compared to some other events.

Visit www.alfascot.com to confirm.

Yeh, I was passenger in that! you're right, it was a bit lucky, but unlucky for it to have happened.

The turn out was actually pretty poor- perhaps Alfa owners aren't really that interested in trackdays?

I'm not happy that my 75TS broke. I had asked someone to repair and strenghten the castor rod mount points in the inner wings. Thankfully I was still able to drive the car home, but only about 4 laps was not what I'd hoped for. Still, the car showed signs of improvement as I was able to begin to appreciate the huge increase in grip and handling.

Still, it was very enjoyable to use the other 75TS that one of my friends, Phill, had brought. The damp track is just perfect for even a standard 75TS

BTW, was there anyone there who I haven't made the connection between AO id and face/car etc?

Marlon's 156 was just

[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Drive sideways- life's too short not to

Slip-sliding my way through winter. On four wheels and two.

Re: meets in scotland

Alfa of the day must have been the 3.2 GT... Far better than expected on a damp track and excellent when it started to dry off...
There is a meeting at the Northern Lights at Hatton of Fintray on the last Wednesday of the month if anyone is interested. +/- 10 cars and most people stay for food etc... Kick off at 7pm...

PM me if you need more info.

Cheers

Neil
