Brooklands

Nice day, got there about 11.00am, I thought I'd had the wrong day as I saw NO Alfa's etc on the M25 at all until I got to junction 10!

Nice day, the hill climbs were good, especially Autodeltas run, superb all tyres smoke and noise, lovely.

I have a few pics (well 68 actually) but my fav car of the show, the Fiat Abarth 1000TCR, I could have picked it up and put it in my pocket.

Not many 147GTA's though I counted 4 I think!

I'll post some pics up later.

Re: Brooklands

Yeah, I mentioned to him that he should go up when I was on my way to signing in for it, glad he did, it was fun to watch it - though didn't see much of it since it was going up right before me, and I was concentrating more on not running over any of the crowd whilst doing a 3 point turn to get in the entrance... Damn turning circle!

Will look forward to seeing vids. A few people said they got a good video of me going up, so I'd like to see it.

The first time round I was fairly cautious, but the second one I let rip a bit more.

Andy: Thank you, I enjoyed it immensely!

alfa_147: Posty from ARDC just grabbed Phil Warn and asked nicely, to be honest. He asked what car I had and then said sure.

Re: Brooklands

Great day. Saw gbjk go up the hill But other than that only bumped into a guy I used to work with.

Here is my picture contribution.

http://www.adam-sutton.co.uk/brooklands06

Also sat in a RHD 159 for the first time, and my God! It was just so nice, driving position was just spot on. Not getting rid of the GTA any time soon but probably be for a 159, and hopefully a GTA version.

Anyone got any vids of my runs up the hill?

There's a few on alfa156.net's forum, but I haven't received them yet.

Thanks

Re: Brooklands

I agree, there were places for various net 'clubs' so maybe next time we should do the same.

Any body see this 75, Rather nice I thought, belong to anyone here?

I only have a few vids but both have no sound, one of AutoDeltas 147 GTA going up the hill and another of the little Abarth being driven round to its trailer.

Hi guys

Great show!

I meet up the this 164 on the way down,on came on a Gatwick, Mr Rusper and myself had a little play on the M25 and then the dual carriageway. Not often you see a Red 164 24V Cloverleaf up against a red 164 Twin v6!!! I can tell you all it is fast when that second engine fires up!

The Diablo kind of left us both for dust though when he decided to pull out behind me and inform me what 2nd gear was capable of!

Was parked up in the Alfa car park in the grass area and must admit i was chuffed to have one of the only 164 Cloverleaf's at the show. Only remember see one other REAL 'Leaf and that was a 12v in black.

If Mr Rusper is reading this thanks for the free entry ticket you gave us at the gate, your are a gentleman and a scholar.

Problem is now i want a De Tomaso Pantera!

Hi

I saw that Alfa 75 and it was lush, parked just in front my car. The only thing i wasn't keen on was the alloys, did you see the re-done leather seats . . . they were class!

Talking of 75's did you see the other one parked down the end of the banking with the carbon fibre ducktail, i thought that was great!

Did anyone see the Alfa 155 with the original silverstone rear spolier extension pieces parked in the grass area, how rare are they. Always loved the story of those extensions. How do we homologate extra aero dynamic aids to a car which is already in production??....Simple put the extension pieces in the boot and say they are supplied therefore homologated! Fanastic
