AO Annual Track event

Some climb the 14 highest Mountain Peaks of the world. Others travel the World to play the best Golf Courses. This Years event on Nurburg ring got me thinking on a more modest concept of doing an AO Annual Track Event. The main idea being that each Anual event takes place on a different Track. F.ex this year Nurburg. Next Year Spa, year after that Monza and so on. AO members comes from around the world, - Europe in particular, so organizers have resources which they could potentially tap into for help and advice on practical matters.

This is just Brainstorming, so raise your ideas or concerns, pros and cons. If you 'd like to get involved as an organizer, if you have past experience in this sort of thing, and also in particular from the AO Team, - whats their feelings on such a concept

Re: AO Annual Track event

Don't know how I missed seeing this.

I probably would be interested but my brain can't even think about another track than the Ring at the moment!

Certainly a topic for discussion at the weekend!

Regards,
TB

Same issue here, Alfa don't sell anything that ticks any boxes for my except for on an aesthetics level, I will be moving back to petrol at some point and I am being drawn towards the darkside. Z4M Coupe.

But knowing how much I dither about waiting for the right price I'll probably still be here in my JTD and up for it.

Sounds like a brute.

My shortlist at the moment is Golf R32, Impreza WRX, Focus ST. Flame suit on.

The only unclear issue is whether I will keep the twinny, as well.

Well the same JC loves the R32

not that I give that much weight to that. On paper the R32 looks good, waiting for a test drive at the moment to make sure. Ditto ST and WRX.

Any other tips? Got to be the price of a Passat, over 200 bhp and above all fun.

Sorry to take this thread seriously OT BTW

Re: AO Annual Track event

I think most reviewers have found the R32 very efficient but ultimately unexciting.

The ST might be a good choice, although I am pretty sure it has been overhyped - it should still b a very good car.

Re: AO Annual Track event

It is a shame I am not choosing a couple of years ago - it would be a clear choice - 147 GTA. Now no longer made and it has to be a new car.
