East Riding Alfa Day 2006 @ Sewerby Hall, Bridlington

Who's going then?

Some of the lads from the North East and Scotland are planning to meet up and drive down the coast to 'sunny' Brid.

https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/showthread.php?p=634195

What about the Yorkshire lads? What was the turnout like last year?

Re: East Riding Alfa Day 2006 @ Sewerby Hall, Bridlington

Definately!
Its just down the road for me so I`m a cert to go. Probably with a slew of the usual suspect 155ers as well.

I think Ms Chris may be bringing her 155 too

Re: East Riding Alfa Day 2006 @ Sewerby Hall, Bridlington

The boss says's I'm allowed out to play, so we'll be driving down from teesside. May be a better route, but I'd be going;

A19-A174
A174 - A171 (?) out to Guisborough up onto Moors
Over towards Whitby (dodging suicidal motorcyclists)
Down Coast past Scabby-Brough, Filey, then Brid

Unless of course you really want the coast road, in which case we can skip moors and do the A174 through Saltburn, Loftus, etc.

Any thoughts? How many people from further north are there? Am happy to meet up at a way point near us somewhere (Teesside Park (Has MacDonalds & Burger King for any nutritionists!) mebbe? Just off the A19/A66 junction near Middlesbrough so pretty much 'the' junction for everyone from further up to pass thru (unless skipping the moors / coast and doing A1 all they way :-( )), or as suggested before down near Guisborough.

I'll be there

Being in Hull it's a bit further for me this year - is there a convoy being organised or is anyone planning on meeting up en-route?

Can't make it unfortunately.

But I'm going on holiday instead so I suppose I shouldn't complain too much.

Suspect we can't play, at 3 months in Morning Sickness is proving fun for the boss, and is now getting car sick when she so much as looks at a car. Much as I'd like to I don't think it will be an enjoyable experience. Will see on the day though.

Re: East Riding Alfa Day 2006 @ Sewerby Hall, Bridlington

For those in the Hull area or coming up from the south over the Humber Bridge (and the bridge is worth a detour along the M180 and up the A15, rather than going all the way up the M18 and along the M62, allow about 40 mins from M18 / M180 junc to the Bridge)

...anyway, there is a meet planned for 10.30am at the Humber Bridge car park. Any AROC members can access Dave Wood of the Lincs section who is trying to organise this meet, just to confirm the final timing and meeting point. Not sure I should publish his email address here?

Anyway, hope this of some help?

See you all there anyway on Sunday - James

Sorry Wrinx missed this post.
One of the captive Bolts fell out of the NS Anti roll bar bracket so it's flapping around loose. It's going in tomorrow to be sorted, meanwhile the GTA stood in for her. It meant I can take everyone along for a trip to the Seaside

Bit chilly though wasn't it, hope you had your thermals on for the trip home!

Congrats on the competition win.
