I rang them. The show is on from 10 in the morning til 6 in the evening and it's 15 in. It's in RDS Simmonscourt.

I have to be on my way to Westmeath from Tallaght by 4.30 that day So maybe a morning-middayish start ??

Very very sorry I couldn't turn up. I went out Friday night to meet an old friend (coincidentally from Portlaoise) and I'm afraid I got manky manky drunk. I got out of bed @ 3.30 Saturday, and that was only because I had to drive to Westmeath @ 4.30.

How many turned up ? I deserve a beating at the next meet frown

I heard the show is always crap, but I would've liked to meet up with u guys. If I had got up to drive to the Red Cow I'd have been about 8 times over the limit and would probably have hit someone on the way Let's try a meet and a dice through the back roads soon enough No fancy RDS motor shows Maybe a race up the M50 wink

I actually want to buy it to drive on the road for a few months until the insurance for the shunted 156 - long story, but categorically not my fault - comes through, and it now appears that I am of the age to be able to afford to insure a 2.5!

Plan is that once the new 156 arrives the V6 goes to Weight Watchers.....

Otherwise, if anybody knows of a car (any 75 would just be the poodle's privates) that's going for very few yoyos and has some NCT and tax left on it please contact me on 086 - 817 6833. Obviously whatever is going should have serious track day potential post-156 arrival.

P.S. Toad and I were in Mondello at the weekend - next track day is February 2nd 2003.

MHFTI!

Went to the Buy and Sell page... there are a lot of 146 and 156 for sale in your part of the world.. and they are all pretty new cars. Why do you think people are selling them??? Maybe they are goofs that are not into Alfa really and just bought them to be diffrent?

With the amount of 156's on the road I suppose it's just law of averages that there'll be a fair share of them in the classified's. Old fleet cars and 156's that were just too niggly for the owner who probably drove Corolla's beforehand.

As for the 146's, maybe they're people who now want a 147

You wont see too many 155's in there though

Did Holyhead to Croft Race Circuit last year in five and a half hours. Driving the 156 - a trip from which it never returned - towing the 33 racecar on a trailer behind. Surely nothing more than a four and a half hour journey without a trailer, it's motorway all the way from the docks in Holyhead to Northallerton.

Then again, there's Ryanair to Teesside............

P.S. I'm still looking for a 75, or indeed a 155. My phone number is earlier in the thread if you come across any!
