Chilling 155 meeting Summer 2005

Hi All
I noticed on the site that there was some difficulty in setting up a 155 meeting place.
As an Alfa nut I would be quite happy to hold a meeting at our place.
I am fortunate enough to be able to accomodate 20-25 cars and would be happy for you to bring your own beer and a bit of something to throw on the B.B.Q.
I live just north of Winchester and am easily accessable from M3 junctions 7 or 9.
At present I own, and run, a 155 2:5 V6. In the past I have enjoyed the company of; a Guillia Super, 1750 GTV, two Alfettas, 1 Alfetta GTV (must be an old git eh? ).
If interested contact via site.

Sounds good. I drive the same. How far are you from manchester and would it be worth the drive for a good day out?

Hi Andy
We are about 180 miles from Manchester. If there's enough uptake on it, it's possible that a few people could bring their own tents to overnight. Of course you could tow a caravan but Alfas should not pull caravans!
We could make it an afternoon and evening get together that way.

Cheers Safkan

OK Andy
will update when we know uptake and will also then advise of a suitable date. There are good B & B pubs in local villages.

Re: 155 meeting Summer 2005

Ah I know Winchester quite well - I used to do a lot of work down that way, could be well tempted, if you don't mind a 145 or a 147 turning up instead of 155

Re: 155 meeting Summer 2005

Safkan, are you just round the corner from Micheldever? If so i think i used your drive to turn round in 2 weeks ago when i took a wrong turning after getting some new tyres. Spotted a red 155 when turning, think there was another alfa next to it but was so stunned by the 155 i don;t remember what it was. Maybe a 33 or 145.

Re: 155 meeting Summer 2005

Winchester is just down the road for me.. I'd have to plan a route that avoided any M- and A-roads, just for some novelty (it's the M3 otherwise!) but... 155s..........? Count me in!

I thought this was a 155 forum? Oh O.K. anyone who drives 145 or 147 instead of a 155 obviously has a sense of humour and we all need something to laugh at

Cheers

It's an open invite to 155ers 'til I run out of parking space. Will post a date as soon as enough uptake.

Cheers

Of course totty is welcome and watching the site I can hear the engines over revving already and am waiting for the jokes with regard to sport skirts and tail spoilers, maybe I foiled this?

Re: 155 meeting Summer 2005

So do you just have a really big garden and driveway? Or do you run some sort of Alfa 155 meeting service

I'd be up for it, especially if the tent offer gains a bit more solidity (more beer!) As for dates, I'm thinking (bearing in mind the possible accomodation!) that January isn't a great time for it...
