It was a very good day indeed thanks Mitch.
Not much on the Alfa side that you haven't seen before, but loads of lovely "others".

Re: See Red at Donington, 11-12 September

Went, saw and came home very annoyed...I managed to take about 80 odd foto's and then wipe the lot out...what a muppet! Ran around at the end taking a few to replace them and the batteries ran out

Oh...not that kind of See Red

I enjoyed it but with reservations...tha "racing" (main reason we went) was a bit pedestrian and processional to be honest but the old historics in the paddock were stunning!!!

I think owning the Matta has made me appreciate these vontage cars even more. For people to not just own them, but race them as well is amazing.

On reflection, a good day out But would have been better if the Bimotore was running as rumoured.

I went but was quite dissapointed as wrinx said the racing was very processional and even though the tannoy said go & see the f1 cars close up when ever i went round the garage doors were firmly shut

Re: See Red at Donington, 11-12 September

Well that's a shame. I thought the racing was very good on the Saturday. I don't know how often you go to watch classic car races, but I thought this was pretty fair. Watching 250's, F1 Coopers and P3 Alfas powersliding out of the Old Hairpin on full opposite lock is not what I would call processional!!!

The pits were open over the lunchtime and my brother got a 2 minute mpeg of the Le Mans 512BB starting up inside the garage. A very nonchalant Italian looking guy propped the engine cover open, unclipped the air boxes off the rampipes, squirted fuel straight down them and started it off a remote button. It caught second time, and ran on four or six cylinders for a while and then he blipped it.....

Re: See Red at Donington, 11-12 September

Only went on the sunday maybe Saturday was a better day to go

I go to watch quite a few classic races including Goodwood and the racing i found tends to be a bit more competitive
