145.com meet Donington Park, July 31st-Aug 1st

There is a meet organised (through www.145.com and www.alfaromeo145club.nl) for Donington Park on the 31st July and 1st August.

There are a few people attending both days and some are staying over after a !!!!-up, I mean, err, civilised evening, on the Saturday. The main day, however, is Sunday when there will be an AlfaRacer meet at Donington Park Motor circuit.

All are welcome, but if you aint in a 145, then you can sit at the back of the class.

If you have two vehicles <ahem> Rick<ahem> then it would be preferential if you came in the one which is shaped more like a breadvan than the other one. (146's excluded, because they look like Citroen Xsara's )

More details available at http://www.alfa145.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=410

Right, not much luck finding events, but how would everyone feel about:

Watching the ARCA (Alfa Romeo Championship Assoc) at Donington Park on 31st Jul 04 - 1st Aug 04

ARCA website: http://www.alfaracer.com/
BRSCC (organisers) website : http://www.brscc.co.uk/default.asp?page=championships
Donington Park website: http://www.donington-park.co.uk/

Although 2 days are given, usually qualifying & racing is only on one day, usually the Sunday. This will be concluded nearer the time.
Also on that weekend at Donington is the Ford Fiesta Challenge, and the Ford Saloon Car Challenge. Dont get too excited at once

Also at Donington is the Donington Grand Prix Collection, the largest collection of Grand Prix cars in the World. Entry to this is 7

Entrance to the circuit for the BRSS races is usually 10)

Where is the Goods Vehicle entrance to the circuit? After all, if I arrive in 'my Breadvan (cheeky git!) I'll want to know where to park!!!!!

The 145 looks like a breadvan, a Giulia Super doesn't.

What's your point?

Re: 145.com meet Donington Park, July 31st-Aug 1st

No problem here Bobby mate and you're absolutely right. My gorgeous Satta designed Giulia saloon with a drag co-efficient of .31, bears no resemblance whatsoever to a 'bread-van', where-as my 145 1.6TS would be much more at home hauling crates of Hovis about!
Why so touchy?

I guess it wasn't blindingly obvious you had a 145...

Hope to see you there

Anyone else fancy coming along to this then?

Its going to be the biggest 145 specific meet this year*, plus I'm going to be there, which is a sight in itself.

Re: 145.com meet Donington Park, July 31st-Aug 1st

I think it might be, you know.

I don't know of any other forums like 145.com based in the UK and life beyond the internet isn't worth comprehending.

Re: 145.com meet Donington Park, July 31st-Aug 1st

Why dont you make the thread readable to all, otherwise it looks as if you are getting people to register

I think we need some event type feature so that people know what going on etc... Ill have a go at it soon. Good luck with your event.

Sorry, I didn't realise that you had to register to be able to see the threads.

I wasn't trying to get people to sign up, it doesn't benefit me in any way, I just wanted people to see what was going on.

I did quote the majority of the useful info anyway, the 145 forum is much like AO in that it veers off-topic now and again...

Re: 145.com meet Donington Park, July 31st-Aug 1st

Change of plan. Coz she was having trouble finding a pressie we're now just going to get each other a 'token' present.
Doesn't help me much, does it? I've got even less ideas now
