Idea Forum meet-Keswick, The Run

Guys, as mentioned by Marlon in the main thread, I have planned out a little drive for the Sat afternoon after we have visited the museum.

Anyone who is interested will be able to get a copy of the directions plus a short questionaire, the answers to which can be found en-route, from myself at the Museum on Sat 6th March. As I understand it we will be meeting at the museum at 12 noon. As Marlon has gone to a lot of trouble to arrange for the museum to open for us, a trip round it first will be in order.

The route will take the driver through some spectacular scenery in the heart of the Lake District on roads that will challenge both driver and car. Be sure to bring a camera, also make sure your brakes are in FULL working order!

Colin.

I drive as fast as possible on country roads, taking the weather into consideration of course.
On the last Scottish Meet, we were hitting 100mph on some parts of the country roads.

Re: Forum meet-Keswick, The Run

lol.. i bloody hope not

hoestly tho.. on new roads i'm surprisingly sedate when it comes to cornering - however if there's a straight... weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :P

p.s. on the roads mentioned above, they mostly ran alongside the loch and you could literally see for miles as the road gently meandered along. Awesome views and great fun.

Now i am confused.............as Squadra only show a 10bhp increase in there statistics and a 2,0 16valver has 150 to begin with making 160 or am i crap at Maths

Or have you been misinformed ???

Anyway i don`t care really just thought i`d point it out Afterall it`s only a number and whatever it is it`ll be getting taken to the limit in Keswick as will mine

Re: Forum meet-Keswick, The Run

I can see the headlines now

"Bizzare mass destruction of rare Alfa's in Keswick"

Eyewittness reports state that a purple one was seen heading up the ar5e of a another victim known only as Debs. A fast moving grey blur is reported by police to be entirely responsible for the desruction of several hundered meters of hedge. While in a seperate incident the driver of another car defied the laws of physics and nudged the light speed barrier. The driver known as Speedy gave the following statement

" It was like a red rag to a bull. He shouldn't have tried to race me, the driver of the BMW didn't know what had hit him. Anyone know where I can get another bottle of NOS? "

[QUOTE=Chris155]I can see the headlines now

"Bizzare mass destruction of rare Alfa's in Keswick"]

Follow up Headline..."North Of England mourns the death of the only
155's left on the planet"

Speedy and Debs...the only survivors. ..stagger back to Keswick
with a trophy and claim "alas it WAS a GOOD car but only Heavy
Metal Fans bought em"...the 155 is dead...so is Heavy Metal...
we are a dieing breed...Debs spins on the spot and collapses...
...Speedy catches the trophy and keels over with head injuries...
...his last words are "Qu...Qu...Quinn...he's still alive in there somewhere
...leave him...pleeeeeeease...leave him"

I feel a film coming on

BMW 635csi, but I also love Alfas, 155s in particular
