Just registered.
Outline plan is:-

23rd Kirkcaldy to Hull. 19:00 hull to Zeebrugge @ 08:45.
24th Zeebrugge to Strasbourg area.
25th Strasbourg area to Milan.
26th Milan
27th Milan
28th Milan to Strasbourg area.
29th Strasbourg area to Zeebrugge. Ferry 19:00 to Hull @ 08:45.
30th Hull to Kirkcaldy.

This sets the daily mileage to 300 - 350 miles.
The old Giulietta should manage that okay.

When they ask for 'Document No.', do they mean driving license or passport?

Anyone thinking of taking passengers? if so id be very interested and possibly a mate as i cant really take mine due to lack of dollars! but would happily contribute towards petrol etc - any ideas on central milan holel prices as if no ride maybe fly over and join in the city central activities!?

Try booking.com for hotels. I'm organising the trip for Somerset section of AROC - everyone wants to take their cars so there might be some co-driver seats going.
Provisional dates are out on 20th June back 28/29th

I used my driving licence number as my current passport runs out before June. Seemed to work okay.

when I went to Lake Garda last year I did the self same route, pretty tedious through Belguim and France but from Strasbourg onwards the views had a stunning wow factor. Stayed in what was called a comfort hotel in Strasbourg 50 for two plus 8 for two eat as much as you can breakfasts - superb stop all booked via web.

We're going on the thursday and coming back on the monday. Did it a few years ago visiting Monza for the F1 race. Anyone up for a convoy before or after? If not will see you in Milan!

Bookings all starting to come together for our little group (myself, Firecracker, Guiliasuper and, hopefully, JonSpiderMan) . Rough itinerary is as follows:

18th Edinburgh to Folkestone (only me, meeting the others there)
19th Eurotunnel, then Calais to Troyes
20th Troyes to Lucerne
21st Lucerne to Bergamo (about 1 hour from Milan)
28th Bergamo via Stelvio to Leichtenstein area
29th Leichtenstein to Rhine Valley (hopefully taking in Schlumpf Museum at Mulhouse)
30th Rhine Valley through Alsace to Troyes again
1st Troyes to Calais, through Eurotunnel, then on to Goodwood for the Festival of Speed
5th Goodwood back to Edinburgh (for me) or wherever?

I'll be posting up a more detailed route in due course, like the one that I did for the run to Spain in October. If anyone wants to tag along at any point they'll be more than welcome, .
