Auto [email protected] Brooklands, Sun 3rd Aug 2003

Is anyone attending this event at Brooklands in Surrey? (near Weybridge I believe) - M25 Junction 10/11

Nice and close for me, I'll be joining the [email protected]
I will be going in the morning, depending on how good it is determines whether I venture to Hyde Park for the Red Bull flying event thingy in the afternoon - which sounds entertaining!

I was planning to go too. I went last year and it was a really good day. I don't think they're using the airfield circuit this year, but they will be using Test Hill.

I'm still undecided.

I'm down in deepest darkest Hampshire that weekend visiting fsmily and I will be coming back on the SUnday evening.

BUT I have sort of promised to go to the Red Bull thing too.

If theres loads of AOers going, I'll go, but I'll be all alone you see.

Right, still don't know what time it opens, I cant find it anywhere, and auto-italia aren't replying to my email!!

So, I assume its still on..

I will be meeting james (xtremeuk) at the Shell garage (so we can fill up before the hill climbs ) on the B347 just south of the Brooklands Museum.

It is just after the roundabout, south of the entrance:

(just about where the arrow is)

We will be there between 9.30 - 10 ish.
Also bobdabilda is meeting us there too, so if any other AO'ers want to hook up, come and say 'ello!

Gates open at 9:30. Test hill runs at 12:00-12:30 and 14:00-14:30.

I'll also meet you at the Shell if I may!

It's an open invite, so anyone's welcome.
So far 4 of us...lets hope it's a big Shell garage, not a 2 pump garage!!!

It was good to meet up again. Had a really enjoyable day despite them letting matchbox cars and tractors on the hill climb!

I'll try to post some pics tomorrow with as much of Rick's shopping list as I managed wink

ouch

Anyway, only gripe is them not letting proper cars onto Test Hill.
There was a 156 2.4 JTD doing it, but as I said, they didn't let proper cars onto it!
