Well Happy Meerkats do the business

Well, it's that time of the year - insurance renewal.

Although the renewal price didn't look too bad I thought I'd see what Alexandr could do for me (again). And he did very well - comprehensive, legal cover included, voluntary £500 excess, 9 years NCD, business use, and my wife covered too, and he did very well......£210.

£62 cheaper than the renewal price.

Don't think that's at all bad, especially for a QV!

I had a nice surprise with car insurance too. Last year I had an Alfa Collezione 147 120 JTD and paid £210 fully comp with full NCB. This year with my Gulietta I expected to pay more as it is the 170 MA but got it for £145. I'm confused.com.

The Giulietta is safer for personal injury than the 147 and cheaper to repair . I had the same saving on changing from 147 Q2 to Giulietta .

Giulietta Sport

So what am I doing wrong? £370, full ncd, no fault accidents, no convinctions....perhaps I need to move to Scotland or perhaps I need a QV too....

Maybe we have cheaper insurance because insurance companies know we Scots are tighter than a vacuum pack although £370 does sound very steep.
