Multicar and Fleet Insurance

Hi All,

As a family we have 2 daily cars, a motorcycle and I am looking for another "toy". Hence the reason for joining the great forum here.

So before I go ahead and take the plunge I've been investigating the great world on insurance in more depth. I'm after an all encompassing insurance policy for all our vehicles.... I'm coming unstuck as the bike is proving an issue.

Anyone have any pointers if this is possible?

Cheers

Hi,

we have an excellent family fleet policy but the entrance criteria is fairly strict, for example one vehicle needs to hold a value of £15k or more as a minimum. If we cannot fit you onto a family fleet policy we do have other options.

Feel free to get in touch to discuss.

Thanks

Updates.

Called Sky after they got in touch, offered to quote and never heard from them again........

So I dug a little further and fell upon Heritage Insurance (0845 373 4773). Called them up and for the following vehicles:

Focus TDCi Sport 03
BMW 330d Estate 08
Aprilia RSVR 03 - Garaged
Alfa Syper 2.0 1978 Garaged

To cover all the above Fully comp came in at £1194 including breakdown, legal and having the wife on the policy!

Happy with that and now have to really get shopping!!

Ours was £800 renewal but Aviva came to £500, so I phoned Admiral who could not match them on the multicar.

This is definitely something we can help members with. As brokers we can select the best insurer for each vehicle but you have the benefit of having just the one point of contact (Chris Knotts) for all your queries/changes. It doesn't matter whether the renewal dates all run together or are separate.

We come across this most frequently for households with a couple of everyday cars and maybe a classic or two in the garage. However, a motorcycle isn't an issue either.

You couldn't help me when we bought an additional car. Our classic is with you but our 2 V6 Alfa's & the new 500 are with Admiral.

That's weird, we're normally almost unbeatable on Alfas because of our special scheme. When's the renewal due - we'd like the chance to have another look?

Went through it all on the phone. Nick Wright is aware & I believe it's been raised at one of the CKI meetings with AROC.

Gutted as been with CKI for years and you dealt superbly with a non fault write off I had. Liz there is great too.

Bottom line is we added a 500 to our fleet & semi retired our V6 GT.

Admiral gave us full NCD on the 500, based on the fact we can only drive one car at once, where as CKI said we had to start from scratch with it

Could you please PM me your real name and your postcode. I'd just like to look into this at our end and satisfy myself that we did all we could.

I don't like missing out on business that we should be signing up (all things being equal).

We switched to Admiral a couple of years ago. Saved a packet over two seperate insurances and they were the best quote for multi-car - but that was just for one Alfa and a CRV.
