RadioNav hidden service menu
Since three weeks my son got his first car, a beautiful fully loaded MiTO 1.4TB 155HP with RadioNav..... Unfortunately something went wrong with his new friend.
Hopefully you can help me out: it concerns a Alfa Mito 2009 with OEM RadioNAV And steering wheel control without BOSE (Quadlock connector), NO Blue & Me. As a result of a bad firmware update (stopped after the first part of the update) we have no 'life' (except the lights around the turning buttons) anymore in our RadioNav. We tried everything we heave read or heard so far:
1 press the return button for several seconds
2 tried another firmware CD
3 Press the Powerbutton and the little hidden reset switch at the metal housing of the radio
So, My main question: does anybody knows a button sequence to enter a kind of a service menu? (like the Fiat RAdio Nav+ system). Or has anyone have an idea to help the radio find the firmware again?
If we can't find any solution we probably need to change the radioset. We would need to install a double din ISO set and hope to keep the steering wheel controls. The most cables offered on the web aren't capable of connecting the ultra-strange Quadlock and keep the steering wheel controls at the same time. Does anyone knows about a cable which we could use to connect an ISO-set AND keep the steering weel controls?
Hopefully some of you MiTo-specialist are willing and able to help us out.
SOLVED (thx to a Greek Alfist, THX!!)!!!
So first you have to insert the firmware cd and after press the reset button in the hole at the bottom of the metal frame when you have taken out the radio) and the right turning button at the front all together for at least 10 seconds. Than disconnect the battery and connect it again and it will restart to updating the firmware.
