It's a terrible habit Keithy - I suffer from the same thing. Endlessly browsing whats for sale and on which part of Dibnah towers I could construct a barn to fill up with these bargains....

Loving the Rover P6 at the start of the list.

Wonder when 10-12year old XK8s will actually become free with a box of cornflakes they are sooooo cheap.

The estimate on that 2000 XK8 is 6k GBP!!!! That's only 11 years old and is a 4.0 V8. I bet it drives like new too.

Alos - the nice bit about almost being 50 years old is that all those motors you secretly desired but never bought because they were "old mans cars" (Bentleys, XJ Jags, big Mercs, big Beemers) suddenly you can buy!

Was that Ford 70s metallic brown shade called Roman Bronze?

'PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle is a non runner and has recently suffered engine damage when its cam belt slipped. It is being sold strictly as seen and is now offered without reserve.'

A dark blue XK8 convertible passed me earlier, roof down with two mutts in the back. I think a Labrador and a Setter.

Panel fit was never great on MKII Escorts and I reckon that one has been painted at some point too (no matt black rear panel and the stripe doesn't look quite right).

It would probably be worth more money if it had the Recaro (Recardo????) interior referred to in the ad. It depresses me greatly that when they were 1500 for fairly tidy one, I couldn't afford the insurance. Now I can afford the insurance, the cars are out of reach. When I was about 20 a bloke I knew had a fairly tidy Olympic Blue MK1 for sale at about 1200 but I just couldn't insure it at any price. It was subsequently stolen, stripped, and burned out.

Probably not these days if I'm honest. When I was a kid they were cheap and quick. Nowadays they are a long way from being cheap and even mediocre cars have caught them up. An E30 325i would do the same job for a lot less money. For the same money you could be sat in (for example) a Jag XJR, an M3 or a TVR.

Who oh why oh why is the main picture of that Giulia Sprint taken with the roof up?!?!?

They look like sex on a stick with the roof down, but always a bit odd with the roof up.

Who sells a convertible with a roof up picture?

Lovely little motor tho.

Lots here I'd like.

Quite fancy the Solex to start with. The Mehari is one I've always liked but it's competing here with the 'Maigret' Citroen, the decapotable DS, the Panhard PL17 and lots more. The Chris Craft could be a winner though....
