Good news. So doesn't look like Tiff will be replacing Matt Le B on TG.

Quite enjoyed the show last night...more of a car show than the so called "entertainment" Top Gear serves up.

And nice to see the Giuila come out on top...even though i still see it as a beemer in Armani pants.

Good to see a proper car show back on TV again. Miles better than TG for me.

It's repeated at 5pm today.
I recorded Thursday's and watched last night - too many adverts to watch 'live'.

What did Plato call the Stelvio? ''A good little car''!
There's a few things I could call it, but 'little' certainly isn't one of them.
I think he needs those glasses strengthening...

Fifth Gear

While I was doing my usual channel trawl the other evening I came across Fifth Gear and they were "testing" a Guilia Quatrathingy along side an AMG Mercedes. Three parts to the test and one was drifting, WTF, personally I don't get the drifting thing but for sure if I was I would not use an Alfa like this. Needless to say the Alfa lost this one to the Merc that was all over the place. I would have thought that a group of professionals could have come up with something better than this rubbish.
What a rubbish program.

Fifth Gear has been trying to imitate the silliness seen on Top Gear for a while.

Fifth Gear tests are a joke. Some of the cars they test against each other aren’t even comparable.

I know it's all contrived, but I have to say I still quite enjoy 5th Gear. At least the presenters have a bit more motoring credibility than Top Gear and Grand Tour.

Absolutely agree.
Top Gear has been more of a children's programme for quite some time. At least Fifth Gear is still about cars.

I'd like to see really old Top Gear (the half hour versions) repeated on Dave, instead of recycling the same old stuff.

New series running on Quest at the moment, and fairly enjoyable despite a lot of SUVs featured in recent shows - even Plato can't stand them.
They did have two of the tanks from Alfa & Jag featured last night - a Qf v F Pace SVR. The prestige one won.
Interesting pieces on the XJ220, new 3 Series and Ford GT and Morgan. Good show.

Yeah been enjoying it too.

It did make me chuckle when Plato said he doesn't like SUVs as a few years ago I saw him on the A34 driving a Porsche SUV thing with his own private number plate!
