How did you manage that Dave?

At various track days I've manged to blag rides in a Lambo Diablo and a couple of Ferrari's a 355 spider and 360 Modena.

The fastest was a 600bhp Nissan Skyline. The instant urge of the Diablo felt more urgent than the boosted Skyline though.

I have a video of me in Cem's (Blowdog) 450bhp Skyline chasing David Browns F355 Ferrari round Donnington. The 355 was quicker on the tighter bends but the Skyline was just as fast on the straights and probably a bit quicker through the faster bends.

Would love to have a ride in a Zonda though.

blagged myself into a photo shoot (a mate wanted my car to hang out of to take tracking shots)

then the owner agreed to take me for a blat

He says its not a lot different to a Mac F1 in accelarative terms, and its way,way quicker than his "every day" car,a Porche Turbo.

the quickest car i had been in before, was a supercharged Exige (not DBs),and that car was so noisy and loud you had a real sensation of speed,

but still nothing compared to what i felt like when he floored the Zonda. And with over 700lb of torque it was still pulling at 170...............

will never forget it eek!

I have a small clip of DB's F355 with sports exhaust on Donno's pit straight. The Scoobs sound nice but just listen to that Ferrari V8.

DB's F355 Clip

He had a nice garage last time I spoke to him.

F355, Supercharged Lotus Exige, Skyline, Rally Scoob and a Lexus LS430 if I remember correctly.
He's also a very nice bloke. Don't you just hate it when that happens. wink LOL

Dave,

Have you met Darren (DC911) yet?

He's still only 23 but had a 360bhp 22B Scoob for 3 years, swapped that for a new 996-911 Turbo which he wrote off so he now has a 911GT2.

Didn't want to destroy the GT2 as a daily driver so he bought an 888 turbo coupe Astra which he is currently trading for a Focus RS Turbo.

Some people have all the luck eh? Again he's a nice chap.

Pic of my Alfa at a Scoob meet a couple of weeks ago, you can see Darrens GT2 at the back.

I've just noticed a problem though. There's a big hole in the drivers seat, what's that all about?

It's for the seatbelts. I guess it's got a five point seatbelt system. Which is definitely needed in a Zonda eek!

The dial in the seat isn't for a harness, its to move the seat up and down, and the pedals are really easy to squeeze. At normal speeds its really civilised, much more than a Supercharged Exige, which just feels like a race car. This car just exploded from civility to absolute murderous violence.

and the gold pipes

http://www.ifgclub.com/gallery/galle...e/DSCF0028.JPG

and the 7.3 ltr engine

http://www.ifgclub.com/gallery/galle...e/DSCF0030.JPG

the gearbox is the size of a cow,and sits smack bang between the rear wheels, awesome thing
