Madness Week 2...

of my 159 Sportwagon being in Western Alfa, Perth. Gear box being stripped today. Engineer coming back up after that to authorise either repair or replace.

And to think it's not even 3 years old yet!!

I will have owned it for 7 months on the 29th Jan and this is the 10th week it's been in Western's possession for repair. Previous visit for 8 weeks for a fuel rail sensor issue. This time an "electrical motor whining noise" which has resulted in possible gear box replacement. Oh and there's a leak in the exhaust which needs gaskets for.

Think I've bought a lemon!

Either that or Western Alfa don't really know what they are doing, perhaps a second opinion?

Can't fault the service from Western. The car was purchased from Veloces of London in Barnet and I think I've been sold a problem. Although they have washed their hands of it!

Western are an approved dealer and are working closely with Alfa to resolve the issues and did well to sort out the intermittent issue it was in for 8 weeks with just after I got the car.
