It's a weekend event this year to celebrate 50 years of the AROC. Have a look on the website.

No mate - got gazumped by a BTTC event or something like that.

Alternative but still in the Midlands TBC soon. One track / activity based event day, one tradition NAD.

Big year for AROC this year

MITCAR @ Rockingham but the Castle, not the track. Sunday 17 August.

As for travel, I'm miles away from the Mdlands but well worth the trip

AROC are unusually slow in announcing their 2014 events. The 50 year thing seems to have gone slightly sour as their bid to secure Rockingham for the Saturday failed, (they were outbid), so one wonders how there will be a track day at all especially as they have already committed to Boughton House on the Sunday.
Hope this pans out well as I have already booked the time off and also booked a hotel nearby.

Not strictly true to say we were "outbid" - we were never in a bidding war. Rockingham simply quoted us a price, then accepted our booking "provisionally", and only notified us in December that the date was no longer available......

Its virtually impossible to pin down the operators of any race circuit to definite dates until this time of year as there is a constant juggling of arrangements as myriad different race organisers try to get their programmes together without clashing - I'm trying to put together a race programme for AROC and availability of circuits and dates that we've been offered changes on an almost daily basis.

The AROC web site needs up dating

http://www.aroc-uk.com/spring-alfa-day

Note to HM look at the year

Easy mistake to make Richard, if you're looking at the events calendar and click on the SAD tab you'd expect to find this years location
Not a pop at AROC BTW you folk do a great job

I think that's a fair point. There's nothing that makes a web site look unloved like adverts for events that have passed, especially this late after the event.
