I've seen the 4C at Goodwood, but today...
about 11.30am, I decided it was time to get off my chair and have my first inspiration-inducing gawp out of the window to see what was happening on the road outside. A look to the left at the end of the s-bend, and there it was - a white 4C, coming toward the office.
It's got presence, that's for sure (it's quite wide!), and there's no doubt what it was. I sort of said aloud 'ooooh, a 4C!', to which my work mate looked up out of her window and said 'wow, that looks nice. What is it?' then...'is that an Alfa?'
As it went by, I saw it was on Italian plates, possibly Autocar's test car (or not; bear in mind my office is near the Longcross test track, en route to McLaren and near Ferrari on the A30; all places that might have an interest in this car, for one reason or another).
4C noise. Hmm. Bear in mind it was on a 40mph road and I guess it was only doing 40mph (so on a light throttle?) but the noise was loud...and a flat, drone (think like a 4cyl SLK Kompressor). I'm sure it sounds like the spangles under load, though.
Anyway, it looked like a peach, and my new-to-the-4C workmate loved it. Its appearance lifted a dull Tuesday
Now i'd like to see it again
