Thumbs Up New book: Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Art & History

The relation between Alfa Romeo and Ferrari is very special, even if it not has been always easy one. Early in 1920s Enzo Ferrari had joined the company to be one of their pilots in local races. Due to his success doing so, after a while he competed also in more prestigious races.

“Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Art & History” is not just another car book, but it wants to show the development of the two companies using model cars and art prints. So you will not just find texts and boxes of technical specifications, but images celebrating the unique design of the machines, which are also a reflection of their zeitgeist and times.

Hereby the book includes on nearly 200 pages production and racing cars, additionally unique prototypes.

That quote is from Henry Ford, not Enzo Ferrari. see here

Enzo's famous Alfa quote was "The first time we beat Alfa Romeo, I cried"

Sure it's a nice book, but doesn't inspire much confidence as to accuracy when one of the most famous line's ever attributed to AR is credited to the wrong person.

In fairness, the author doesn't usually write that summary text- it's someone at the publisher.
