75 and 155 2.0 - Alfa nord engine?

Good peeps of AO,

I have a question. Was the Alfa Nord 4 cyl 2.0 twin cam ever spun sideways and put in the 155?

The 75 had that classic engine, then it got the Twin Spark added in 87-ish. Was that engine the 2.0 that appeared in the early pre-16v 155s?

I just don't recall the Alfa Nord engine going sideways in a 155, but I guess maybe it did?

cheers for the clarification

I think all of the narrow bodied and a few of the wide bodied 155's had the Nord engine.

So anything made before around late 1994/early 1995 should have the Nord engine.

The 164 had it as well right up until production of the 164 ended.

Correct - the narrow-bodied 1.8 and 2.0 155s used the Nord 8v engine, essentially as per the 75 engine, but with coil packs rather than distributors and coils. The first of the wide-body 1.8s continued to use the 8v engine - presumably using up stocks. As said the 164 2.0 used the engine throughout, initially with twin distributors and twin coils, then latterly changing to coil-packs.
