It's an addiction!

After 4 years ownership of a beautiful Alfa GT 1.9 diesel, a moment of summer madness took over me and I foolishly traded it in for a 3.2 V6 VW Eos. Everything worked as it should. It pulled like a train (and drank like Oliver Reed!), and was the epitome of Tuetonic efficiency, design and craftsmanship. However, it was as dull and lifeless as a ... VW Eos! It lacked soul. In short, it wasn't an Alfa Romeo.

So after 4 months in the wilderness I have returned to the quirkiness and unpredictability of Alfa ownership, and I couldn't be happier. Those very nice people at Benfield Alfa in Newcastle have just sold me a gorgeous black 159Ti 1.75.

Life is wonderful again!

Hi Fala,
I nearly bought that 159 but doing 30,000 miles a year, the fuel consumption put me off.
I was at Benfield today as you were picking it up.
Have fun.

Few return to sanity from where you have been.

Thank you, K77. I only do around 7000 miles a year so fuel consumption isn't such an issue - much better than the 3.2 V6 Eos anyway!

Thank you, Dax. You have a great team there - please pass on my thanks to Chris for all his help.
Of course you can have a drive when it's re-mapped. Angel Tuning did the re-map on my previous GT - any suggestions as to who might do the 159?

Garage
Having owned my 156 Sportwagon for 7 years, it still makes me smile whenever I'm behind the wheel. They have their quirks, as most cars do, but until the last few days the engine has been fabulous. Now sorted I'm a happy Pengu again.

If I was to describe my Alfa in one word: Fun.

Alfa Romeo

Evening Sir,

I'm unsure ( and dont normally like to recommend ) with never doing any Alfa's - I have often thought about it but never gone there. More BHP has to be the future though :-)

Thanks

JJB motors in York will probably be your best (local) bet
