Why do you need to remove the wheel? If it's to change the tyre then the AA/RAC etc will come out and take it off with their master key

If you just want to take your wheel off for any other reason they won't though.

If its a genuine Alfa Romeo locking wheel nut, you can buy a key from them, the whole kit is only 32 quid!

Hi guy's, two reasons really. Need to change my front break pads and second thinking about changing them for normal wheel bolts.

I always recommend changing them for normal wheel bolts.
They are nothing but a problem, and no one steals alloys now that 90% of cars have them!!

Are the AR ones coded? If the code matches mine I could stick it in the post for you as I've removed the nuts anyway..

As the OP says, belatedly, they aren't Alfa OE, they are McGuard.....Specialist removal socket is the only real option.....

All sorted....two 19 mm sockets, one to replace the one i got stuck onto the last nut! Total cost £8 from halfords and a grazed knuckle and there off.
